Workshop: Rise Up, Upstanders!
In this 1-hour interactive presentation on Bullying Awareness students will learn strategies to employ when they witness bullying. This workshop is designed for grades 2-3 and 4-5. (Our companion workshop called “The Power of Me!” is developed for middle school students.)
The following topics will be addressed in Rise Up, Updatnders!! :
· What bullying is and what it is not…distinguishing between conflict and bullying so kids know when to use the word and how to use it appropriately
· The different forms of bullying - including a focus on cyberbullying (for the 4th and 5th graders)
· If you are being bullied, what you can do
· If you see bullying, what you can do
· How to be an upstander
